WasteCare Health & Safety Policy Statement
The policy of the Silver Lining Industries Group is to take all reasonable and practicable steps to plan for and promote healthy and safe working conditions for our employees and to ensure the health and safety of contractors, customers and the general public who are affected by our work activities.
Silver Lining Industries Group will not only comply with the statutory requirements, but will proactively seek to prevent injury, ill health, damage and loss arising from its operations.
The promotion of the Health & Safety of employees is paramount. Following risk assessment, all activities will be carried out safely and efficiently to prevent injury, ill-health and to contribute to the success of the business.
Our commitment to these aims will be demonstrated by the fact that:-
We will take all reasonable measures to protect the Health & Safety of our employees whilst at work and that of all others who may be affected by our activities;
We will aim to avoid injury to the public or damage to property which might occur as a result of our activities;
We will maintain the quality of the environment by means of the careful and responsible implementation of our activities;
We will provide and maintain plant, equipment and systems of work that are safe;
We will provide safe passage on to the site and in addition provide the necessary safety equipment for the duration of their visit.
We will ensure that risk assessments of all appropriate activities are carried out, are fully documented and that the measures to achieve the satisfactory control of risk are correctly specified and implemented;
We will ensure that all persons embraced by this policy are fully committed to and trained in its requirements;
We will ensure that this policy statement is displayed at each company facility, is brought to the attention of all employees and is fully understood by them.
Emergency procedures will be made known to all employees and visitors and the effectiveness of such procedures will be tested periodically to ensure compliance with this policy.
Overall responsibility for this policy is vested with the companys Managing Director the day-to-day implementation is delegated to members of the management team.
